December 1968 the choir recorded a 45 record, to mark the occasion of the new school song, written especially by Mr Bayly. Songs on the record included, Hush Little Baby, Kum Ba Yah, Africian Folk song, My Catherdal, Feed the Birds and The Old Rugged Cross.
In 1969, the choir competed and won first prize at the Bendigo Eisteddfod. Also in the same year, they were invited to sing at the Begonia Festival, which they continue to do.
In July 1972, the choir made a guest appearance on the television program “Six Tonight”. In the same year, success was achieved at Royal South Street Competitions when the choir gained second prize.
First Prizes were gained at the Royal South Street Society Competitions in 1975, 1976, 1977, and 1978.
In November 1977, at Skipton Street Church the choir cut a long playing record which went on sale in December for the cost of $5.00.
A guest appearance was made at the Sun Aria Semi Final at the Royal South Street Centenary Celebrations. The choir also performed at the Sun Aria final at the Melbourne Town Hall on Octoberr 1st 1979 to celebrate the centenary of Royal South Street. Songs sung included Paloma Balanca, The Carnival Ball, The Royal South Street Centenary Waltz (specially composed by Mr. Bayly for this occasion), Lord of the Dance, and Care for kids.
The choir has given great pleasure over many years to the elderly patients at the Queen Elizabeth Home and the Kelaston Home by visiting and singing to them. Many performances have also been given at the Wendouree Village and Myers.
The choir has had three different uniforms over the many years, starting with a grey tunic, a check pinafore and lastly long red pinafores. The children now wear their school uniforms when singing.
Miss Bernadette Ackland took over the choir after the transfer of Mr Bayly in 1981.
Other conductors of the choir include Mrs Suzanne Gulbis, Mr Noel Thomas, Mr Chris Jarvis, Mrs Bev Weir, Mrs Claire Dalman , Mrs Alane Oldaker.
The Choir didn't function for 2 years then in 1995 it was decided to develop two choirs; a Senior Choir Grades 4-6 and a Junior Choir, 2-3. Mrs Nunn conducted the Senior Choir and Mr Arundell the Junior Choir. This continued until 2000 when Mr Arundell left the school. Mrs Ruth Nunn now conducts both Choirs with the assistance of Mr Roger Schults.
In the year 2000 the Choir had great success at South Street, in Ballarat in the Primary Contempory Section. Later the Choir was invited to perform at the Showcase Concert
